Victoria Beckham launches £18 skincare that leaves her skin soft and clean

Victoria has given Bioderma’s iconic cleanser a fashionable makeover for a not-so-Posh price

What springs to mind when you think of Victoria Beckham skincare? If you said “high tech” and “science powered”, we’d be with you – the fashionista added instant credibility to her Victoria Beckham Beauty skincare debut by partnering with Professor Augustinus Bader, one of the world’s leading experts in stem cell biology.

And if you said “expensive”, we’d be with you too, since the duo’s famous Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum with TFC8 will set you back £116 a bottle. However, there’s now a way of getting Victoria Beckham-branded skincare onto your face for less than £20, thanks to her latest launch.

The Spice Girl has put her name to a limited edition version of Bioderma’s Sensibio H20 Micellar Water, in honour of this iconic cleanser’s 30th birthday. That means Bioderma’s baby launched back in 1995, exactly a year before Posh and co exploded onto the scene with a war cry of zig-a-zig-ahh. (Yes, we feel very, very old, too.)

Victoria is a long-term superfan of Bioderma’s cleanser, which she’s relied on forever, and says she uses it every single day to remove her makeup before doing her follow-up cleanse.

“I’ve been using Bioderma’s Sensibio H2O Micellar Water for as long as I can remember as the first step to prepping my skin. It’s gentle yet effective and I always have a travel sized one in my bag when I’m on the go.”

Talking on Instagram, she hails the hydrating formula as her daily hero: “it feels so clean, it really gets the makeup off”.

She explains that she also shares the cleanser with her daughter, Harper. “My daughter also uses this product, obviously we have very different skin but it works for my skin like it works for her skin. I feel comfortable her using Sensibio H20 because I know it’s not stripping her skin, I know it’s not damaging her skin and that’s quite a big thing to be able to say.”

Here at GH we can vouch for the grime-shifting power of Bioderma’s cleanser, which even takes off waterproof mascara without dragging delicate skin. This type of cleansing water is powered by micelle particles which attract dirt and oil, and sweep them away.

The formula inside remains unchanged, but Victoria has given the bottle a birthday makeover, dressing it up in her signature VB monogram. It’s available now at the not-so Posh price of £18, but it’s limited edition so it won’t be around forever.
