If it weren’t for Scottie Scheffler’s absolutely ridiculous 2024 season, fans would have been talking about Nelly Korda as the greatest golfer on planet Earth.
Korda won seven times last season – including her second major when she won the Chevron Championship by two strokes. Unfortunately for Korda, for the second year in a row she chose to skip the LPGA’s spring Asian swing while makikng her way back from injury
The world No. 1 missed events in Thailand, Singapore and China these next two months, but will be back in the fold for the Ford Championship March 27-30 in Chandler, Arizona.
Korda recently admitted her goal is to stay healthy after she suffered a neck injury last fall and was forced to miss the fall Asian swing as well. “If my body is not feeling 100 percent,” Korda said, “then I’m not going to push it.”
“I kind of have the first part of year until Chevron kind of set. After that it’ll be just how my body is feeling, she added.
As she gears up for a tournament later this month, Korda is reminiscing about a December vacation to Hawaii. “Decembers lost files 🌺,” she said.
