Victoria Beckham excels at the respectful requirements of meeting Queen Camilla

Beckham was seen following protocol at Royal Reception

Victoria Beckham showcased her signature elegance at Buckingham Palace, where she delivered a flawless curtsy while greeting Queen Camilla.

The fashion icon and former Spice Girls star attended a royal reception on March 11 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Women of the World (WOW) Festival.

A modern take on Royal etiquette

During the event, Beckham, 50, greeted Queen Camilla, 77, with a deep curtsy, a moment captured in a video shared by journalist Rebecca English. While there are no strict rules when meeting British royals, tradition suggests that women curtsy while men offer a small neck bow. This protocol remains common even within the royal family-just a day earlier, Kate Middleton curtsied to King Charles at the Commonwealth Day Service.

Blending tradition with modernity, Beckham paired her curtsy with a handshake, striking a balance between respect and contemporary etiquette.

As they exchanged pleasantries, Queen Camilla brought up a previous engagement, referencing an Italian-themed dinner at Highgrove House in February, which Beckham and her husband, David Beckham, attended.

“Victoria, nice to see you. Did you enjoy the Italian dinner at Highgrove? It was good fun,” the Queen asked.

Beckham responded with a smile.

“It was a lot of fun, thank you so much,” she replied.

The Beckhams have been increasingly present at royal gatherings. In December 2024, they made an unannounced appearance at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace honoring the Amir of Qatar. Both Victoria and David have been recognized by the monarchy for their professional achievements-David received an OBE in 2003 for his contributions to soccer, while Victoria was awarded the honor in 2017 for her work in fashion and philanthropy.

With David‘s growing involvement in royal initiatives, including his role as an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, speculation has arisen about the possibility of a future knighthood. The former footballer, a self-proclaimed “huge royalist,” has spoken about his deep admiration for the monarchy, describing how his upbringing instilled in him a love for the royal family.

Victoria Beckham‘s graceful curtsy was more than just a formal gesture-it was a symbol of the Beckhams‘ continued presence in Britain’s most prestigious circles.
